On Sept. 21, 1947, the first officers of the newly formed Christ
Lutheran Church were elected. The pastor was E. Vajdo, with President,

and Treasurer, Glen Osborn, being elected. At this meeting a committee
composed of Glen Osborn, Otto Schuster, and Walter Schulz was appointed
to investigate finances for a church building.
Now the members were ready to erect their place of worship. Lots
were purchased at Fourth and Donley, and the members themselves
built the new church. The building went rapidly and dedication of
the church building was set for May 9, 1948.
