In 1947, Earl Craig, minister of the Church of Christ, Canyon, held a revival and appointed Vernon Harman, Homer T. LaRoe, and Bryant Merriman as elders, and Foster Harman and Dorris Bowe deacons.

In 1946 six lots were purchased, and in 1949 the building was moved to the corner of Main and Pash. Four class rooms and a baptistery were added. Again the construction was done by members.

The congregation outgrew that building in a few years, and in 1959 the present modern brick building with 10 classrooms and a minister's study, a publication room and a 300 seat auditorium was erected at Main and Wishart. The preacher's home, a three bedroom brick, was built in 1955.

There have been many revival meetings held since that first one in 1921. About 1958 the first Vacation Bible School was conducted and has continued every year since. In 1966, the Gospel Chariot, a big cotton trailer with a sign on each side pulled by a tractor, picks up and delivers children to Bible School.

Men who have served as deacons are Mark Nichols, Sam Bryan, Buck McCarley, Burl Sims, S. A. Hodges, Foy Moudy and Alvin Moudy. Sam Bryan, Mark Nichols, and Foy Moudy serve as elders at present.
